Renault Kangoo van 8722R is allocated to London Trams and nominally allocated to the depot in Therapia Lane. However, on 13th February 2025 it was photographed at a slightly unusual location. If you worked it out from the few visual clues (the sloped styling on the building, and the railway flyover in the background), give yourself ten LTSV points. It is in fact the Tunnelling and Underground Construction Academy (TUCA) at Ilford. This facility was opened in 2011 and was originally tasked with training the workforce that would be building Crossrail (now the Elizabeth Line). Upon completion of that project, the premises passed to TfL ownership and a contract was awarded to Prospects College of Advanced Technology to continue to provide railway-related training courses.

We actually added this location to the LTSV database a while back (under our code IDE), since a number of Elizabeth Line service vehicles (normally the Ford Transit crew vans) seemed to be kept here. This appears to have since ceased, although there is a back-up control centre for the Elizabeth Line on the site. One final oddity is that the only other photo of 8722R on LTSV was taken at Acton Works when it was new in late 2018, and it showed the van parked close to.... an Elizabeth Line Ford Transit!
