Buses within the town of Swindon were run by Swindon Corporation, which became Thamesdown Transport in 1974. Many municipal operators were sold in the years following deregulation in 1986, but Thamesdown remained council-owned for much longer, eventually being bought by the Go-Ahead group in February 2017. The branding of the operation was changed to 'Swindon's Bus Company' with a new livery of blue and green in varying layouts. Derek visited the garage in Swindon on 30th March 2025 and found two service vehicles present. Mercedes Sprinter van BJ60VNU carried fleetnumber 9103 and had the vertically divided livery as also worn by some of the buses (including the Enviro 400 just visible on the right). Alongside was Ford Transit Connect van 9066 HG61OHD in a more restrained overall dark blue scheme. The registration BJ60VNU rang a tiny bell in my memory and I found that Derek had photographed it at Eastleigh way back in July 2013, when it was all white and lettered for Hants & Dorset Trim. The latter company had been bought by Go-Ahead in February 2006. I then realised that HG61OHD had already been shown on LTSV, being photographed at the same location in 2021.
